Lockford Sausage

We first discovered Lockford Sausage a couple years back at the BrewFest in Downtown Brentwood. I could tell before I even tasted their sausages were something special because of the line of hungry patrons that was exceeding long and profoundly longer than any other food vendor that day.

I was so very happy that I waited in line for this delicious sausage. Bigger and far more tasty than I expected that was juicy and still had that snap you wanted from a sausage. I admit I was reluctant to let Claudia have a bite, but after all it's what you do for the woman you love. I almost wanted to get back in line after I devoured the tasty umami rich treat.

We found though that Lockford Sausage is not available at any retailers as I was very enthusiastically asking for more from the energetic individual who was selling sausages that day. Bummer!

Low and behold on a trip out to Jackson I noticed this very very long line of people standing outside Lockford Sausages as we drove by. I was like "what the heck are all those people standing in line for so long?" Can their sausages be that good? Well of course I already knew the answer to that question. However, the line was just too long and we wanted to get home but I kept them in my mind and said to myself next time you must stop.

On our next trip to Jackson the line was as long as before which got my mind to wandering how it was possible they would have lines like this every time we passed by. After our business in Jackson I was determined. The line was a bit shorter but still a line waiting. We had no idea what would be in store for us once we got inside. Sausage Nirvana by friends!

We did find out why the lines are so long after all. The only let 6 people inside at a time and we understood as we were single file inside this tiny shop. Reminded us of the classic Seinfeld episode "Teh Soup Nazi. My friends if you find yourself in Lockford the Lockford Sausages is a must visit.
